＜作品収蔵＞東京都写真美術館 / My work has been acquired by TOP Museum

このたび、作品「あの海に見える岩を、弓で射よ #194」を東京都写真美術館に収蔵いただきました。

本作は、AI時代における機械の視覚、写真の証拠性、そして私たちが現実を信じる視覚的な制度を再考するシリーズの一作です。

機械に幻を見せ、その誤読を引き出すことで、人間自身の「見る」という行為を問い直そうと2022年より試みています。

本作は、コレクターの空連房・谷口昌良氏にご購入いただき、そのご厚意により美術館へご寄贈いただいたものです。

作品が公共の場で長く保存され、多くの人と共有されていくことを大変光栄に思います。

ご縁をいただいた谷口様をはじめ、ご尽力いただいた美術館、キュレーター、ギャラリー、パブリッシャーの皆様、そして関わってくださったすべての方々に心より感謝申し上げます。

今後も、写真というメディアを通して、視覚と技術、そして現実を信じる制度そのものを問い続けていきたいと思います。

I am honored to announce that my work Aim an Arrow at the Rock in the Ocean #194 has been acquired by Tokyo Photographic Art Museum.

This work is part of a series that reconsiders machine vision in the age of AI, the evidential nature of photography, and the visual systems through which we come to believe in reality.

Since 2022, I have been exploring how to make machines see illusions and provoke their misreadings, as a way of questioning the human act of “seeing” itself.

The work was originally collected by Mr. Masayoshi Taniguchi of Kurenbo, and was later generously donated to the museum through his kind support.

I feel deeply honored that the work will be preserved in a public institution and shared with many people for years to come.

My sincere gratitude goes to Mr. Taniguchi, as well as to the museum, curators, gallery, publisher, and everyone else involved in bringing this work to this point.

Through the medium of photography, I will continue to question vision, technology, and the very systems through which we believe in reality.
