POKEMON: for The Wall Street Journal

I shot Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara, who created Pokémon and CEO of The Pokémon Company. Pokémon had taken my mind away for long time in my child hood, so this portrait session was something special and I'm filled with deep emotion now. (Sometimes you can't see the article without sign in.)

株式会社ポケモンの石原社長を撮影させて頂きました。 自分の子ども時代の記憶の多くを占め、また今や日本を象徴するコンテンツにまでなったポケモンを生み出した張本人とお会い出来て非常に感慨深いものがあり ました。社長の「我々がピカチューだとしたら世界中に既に受け入れられたイメージを守りそこに留まるのではなく、きちんとライチューに進化する責務があ る」という言葉が刺さりました。「ポケモンという存在を通して現実世界と仮想世界の両方を豊かにする」を社是とする同社の今後の展開が本当に楽しみです。
